Why You Should Get Married in the North GA Mountains

A North Georgia mountain wedding with Megan & Lexie

Fall detail flat lay, North Georgia wedding photography

Change is so good for the soul. As much as I adore Savannah, a change of pace is always good and necessary for everyone, especially creatives. When you live in one place (especially a tourist town where everyone wants the same locations for their session), things can get a little redundant. Reminder: I LOVE SAVANNAH. I love all the squares, parks, trees, and architecture. It’s so perfect. But sometimes I crave a change of scenery. I crave the mountains because that’s where I’m from originally. So if you’ve been thinking about having a mountain wedding, I am the North Georgia wedding photographer for you!

I’ve had the opportunity over the past year to travel all around Georgia and capture love in different parts of the state, which I’m immensely thankful for. Last year I e-met Megan + Lexie on Facebook. They were looking for a photographer for their North Georgia wedding and I quickly commented with the hundreds of other photographers trying to put their name in the pile.

β€œME!!!”

They emailed me straight away. We connected, met up in Savannah for a coffee and the rest is history. Their wedding day was SO FUN. They had more friends than family attend and you know what that means…PARTY. A big one! One that lasted all night. Things got funky, articles of clothing came off and it was so filled with dancing and love.

No matter where you live, a North Georgia mountain wedding is always a good idea for these reasons:

  1. The weather is usually always amazing! NG is a place where you experience all of the seasons. So if you want that beautiful fall look with changing leaves, mountain views and weather that isn’t overly hot, then a North Ga wedding is the one for you!

  2. Amazing venues: there’s some gorgeous venues up in the Georgia mountains. Megan and Lexie got married at Vezalay Mountain Venue which was beautiful and they really had everything you could need all in one place.

If you’re thinking about having the perfect fall wedding, let me be your North Georgia wedding photographer! Also…no travel fees ;)
