Aside from photographing weddings and elopements, being a Savannah family photographer is my other passion! Getting to meet families new and established is so fun. The Menken’s are the cutest family of three and this was their first photoshoot together as a family, so I really wanted to make these special for that.

We met at Chatham Square in downtown Savannah one September morning and created the sweetest photos!

Photographer Advice: It was pretty cloudy that morning (it has been raining in Sav for three months straight, y’all!). As photographers we can’t change the weather - trust me, I wish we could - but cloudy days aren’t always a bad thing! Overcast days actually get rid of weird shadows and highlights and can really make colors like green pop. My editing style is the same through out all of my photos (I created my own preset), but cloudy day photos will have a slightly different look compared to super sunny days. It all comes down to lighting.
